Crevasse Rescue

We start with the basics and build from there. When it come to crevasses, the best defence is a good offence so we lay the foundation of safer glacier travel. We discuss a rules-based decision making framework you can use to make better decisions regarding the application of a rope on a glacier.

We start with basic rope knowledge and build to improvised haul systems. We debunk the myth that the best approach to crevasse rescue is memorization of one system and instead give you the tools to adapt to whatever situation might arise on the glacier.
